Asking the Deep Questions about Life, Loss, and Leadership

Hi! I’m Kelly. I have a lot of questions about Jesus, life, death, and what it means to be a spiritual leader. And I like to write!

On this website, you’ll find my blog posts and books that I’ve written. I love to share my life with others so that we can learn and grow together.

A bit of my story: I lost my 1.5-year-old daughter, Julia, to leukemia in May of 2024. My spouse, Mike, and I struggled with four years of infertility and know the IVF world well. I’ve also had fibromyalgia, a chronic pain disorder, since 2011. A lot of my writing includes what I have learned and am currently processing about how to follow Jesus through grief and pain.

Vocationally, I coach and train college students and young adults to be ministers with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. You’ll find my coaching style of asking questions woven throughout my writing as well. I’m also working towards my Master’s degree at Fuller Seminary. In no way am I attempting to “master” theology, but studying the Bible is one of the primary ways that I learn how to live, reflect, and lead.

I hope my writing encourages you in your own journey, no matter where you’re at. I love hearing from you! Feel free to post a comment!

I coach college students and young adults to thrive in their lives with Jesus. Go deep with me, and let’s “look life in the face” together (Psalm 71:20).
