A Chat with Julia in Heaven

I've been listening to spoken word by Brian Schrag (a theologian, writer, and dad of one of my friends) about heaven and the New Creation. They are profound and help stir my imagination. (You can watch his videos here: FirstMomentsInHeaven.org.) Today I imagined a dialogue between me and Julia about God's home:

Julia, what's it like in God's home?
   Down the slide.
Do you go down the slide?
  Yeah. Big BIG slide.
I bet it's SO big. What else?
  Drive fire truck.
Do you get to drive the fire truck?
  Yeah.
Are there fires in God's home?
  Yeah.
Are they hot?
  Touch.
You can touch them?
   Yeah. Smell cinonun.
They smell like cinnamon?
  Yeah.
What else do you do at God's home?
  Camel races! WIDE TURN!
There's camel races?
  Turtle races!
And turtle races? That's something.
   Ride camel.
You get to ride the camel?
   Yeah.
Is it scary?
   Jesus hold you.
Aw, I bet he holds you close.
  Friends.
You're making friends at God's home?
  Yeah. Hannah!
Hannah? Your cousin?
  No, other Hannah. Samuel's mommy.
OH wow, I bet she's an amazing auntie to you.
   Hannah give lemon.
Did she give you a lemon, like at PoPo's house?
   Yeah.
Was it sour?
  No. Eat. Smell.
I bet it smells so good, huh? What else?
   Swimming! Hose!
Do you get to swim and squirt the hose?
   Yeah! Big BIG hose!
Oh wow! And do you help Jesus water all the plants?
  Rainbow plant.
Is there a plant that's rainbow colored?
   Yeah.
Do you sing "Somewhere over the rainbow?"
  Somewhere over the rainbow!
What else do you sing?
  Daddy's songs.
Daddy had you listen to a LOT of songs, huh?
   Piano, drums!
Oh, you're rocking out in God's house!
  Rocking out.
Are you conducting too?
  Yeah.
Jesus told me you get to lead music times.
   Ms. Rachel.
Are you teaching everyone there Ms. Rachel songs?
   "Up and Down!"
Aw that's a great one to teach them.
   Mommy, up and down?
Yeah baby, I'll do it with you. Mama miss Julia.
